Employment Law Update Seminar

What matters from 2007?  What is likely to matter in 2008?

This seminar will provide a recap on the employment events of 2007 and will explain the changes we will all be looking forward to in 2008.

What will we be looking?

We are looking in particular at:-

  • Problems caused when your employees access "facebook" and similar social networking sites at work
  • Illegal working, and steps you should take to avoid problems
  • Some case studies resulting from age discrimination laws one year on
  • The impact of discrimination on grounds of religion and belief - where this can affect mainstream employers
  • The current position on protecting your business by restrictions on competition after the employment has ended
  • Smoking at work - lingering issues
  • Agency workers - an update on where the law stands
  • Maternity matters in the light of the further extension of family friendly policies

We will be suggesting practical and useful points in these areas of change to help you identify what is important and where action should be taken.

What is the cost?

There will be a charge of £90 inc vat per delegate which includes a full set of notes and buffet lunch.

Who will be speaking?

Speakers wil include members of the Employment team:- Mike Davies, Julie Davies, Marcus Rowland, Allison Cook, Felicity Larter, Caitlin Anniss, Alison Graham and Simon Collingridge.

Delegates that attended this seminar last year said:

 “Excellent session”
“Really useful seminar and very well staged”
“Very worthwhile and useful”.
