Managing Change in General Practice (Bristol venue)

A half day training session for all GP’s and practice managers

Introduction

Many GPs feel that they are facing the greatest threat to General Practice in their careers. In particular:

  • Changes made to the GP contract for 2006/7 have led to a decline in GP profits
  • Workload is increasing and GPs are now under pressue to extend surgery opening hours
  • There has been little progress on Practice Based Commissioning but the level of interest in service provision by third party providers continues unabated

This half day seminar will quantify the extent and the reasons for reduced profits, and will highlight some of the current issues that you need to consider.

We will review what can be done to extend GP services and improve profits and how you might benefit from a change in business structure.

In addition we will advise you on how to manage and reward the performace of your partners and staff.

Approach

The seminar comprises of a series of presentations and a closing question and answer session.  There will be ample opportunity for delegates to raise questions and to discuss practical situations and real life problems.
