Our Projects team provides specialist advice on the complete range of issues involved with partnerships/strategic partnerships. We advise on the delivery of the proposed partnership arrangements, including whether your objectives are best met through a corporate vehicle, contractual joint venture, a contract with partnering arrangements or a non-contractually binding "partnering" pledge.
The process of choosing the type of arrangement to use is largely one of identifying and matching relevant objectives, the commercial reality to achieve the objectives and the balancing of risk. In each arrangement there will also be different consequences in terms of the issues which the governance arrangements will need to address.
From our breadth of experience of different models we have the flexibility to be able to provide the approach which suits you and your objectives.
Work experience/case studies:
- Acting for Somerset County Council and Taunton Deane District Council in relation to their ISIS strategic partnership and for four unitary Councils in the Gwent Consultancy strategic partnership.
- In respect of other collaborative schemes (most recently appointed to advise on collaborative structure for Cambridge City Council and 6 other local authorities in respect of a choice based lettings system, Wiltshire County Council on a collaborative procurement of a framework for temporary staff and the PLUSS company (comprising Devon, Torbay and Plymouth Authorities) on its expansion to include Somerset County Council);
