Having acted for the MoD for several years on several PPP/PFI projects, we are extremely familiar with the MoD's standard project agreement (MOD PAv). We were also one of the MoD's legal panel advisors which participated in the formal consultation on the structure and content of MOD PAv.
Work experience/case studies:
- Acting for MoD in respect of a £500M PFI Redevelopment Project at Corsham including innovative office space, accommodation and leisure services' advice on procurement and the Development Contract. This demonstrates our ability to bring to bear a variety of different skills in connection with any project and here our contribution to the Project has included company and commercial law advice and property environmental law advice
- Acting for the MoD in respect of the PFI agreement for the provision of a tri service materials handling service and on the procurement of Materials Handling Equipment (“MHE”) for DSDA and DM sites in the United Kingdom and Germany (with a value of about £50 million).
- Acting for the MoD in relation to the PFI agreement with LEX Defence Management Limited for the provision of a UK White Fleet service. Value of contract £500 million. This involved outside capital investment from a syndicate of banks.
- Appointed to act for MoD by the Defence Procurement Agency in Project Bowman, the £1.8bn project to provide HM Services with Digital Communications. This included using our contacts in the United States of America to provide a US law "opinion".
