The firm has an in-house training manager which means there are a wide variety of soft skills and management courses held internally. There are also lunchtime training sessions on legal issues which are presented by the solicitors at the firm. These have the added benefit of helping support staff gain an understanding of the work undertaken by the firm.

Yes, there are plenty of training sessions on offer and these are very helpful. If you need training on a specific problem Ruth will always assist and will sometimes set up a training session for others to come along if they are having a similar problem

Yes. The firm has a very good training manager who arranges in-house courses on all sorts of work-related topics. The training manager has also introduced a series of "quick" training sessions, which consist of one hour training sessions, held at lunch time. Anyone at Veale Wasbrough who wishes can attend in-house training courses - either the quick lunch time sessions or the fuller sessions which of consist of more than one training session - ie. 3.5 hrs training on one day and a further follow-up session or sessions a week or so later. If members of staff wish to attend training providing by outside sources their request will be considered by their manager and the training manager.
Excellent training sessions are also provided by our in-house IT trainer. All staff receive training on any new computer software that the firm introduces and additional/refresher training is available on request. In an emergency, the IT trainer can be telephoned and asked to deal with any problems ASAP - much easier than using the "Help" facility on screen or having to try to find the answer in an IT training manual!
