    Olivier Burnside As the firm places a strong emphasis on training, there are many opportunities to further your development. The firm has a dedicated training team who offer a wide range of courses. In addition, seminars take place on a fortnightly basis. These are normally given by fee earners and offer a valuable way of keeping in touch with other areas of law to which you may otherwise have little exposure.

    The firm puts on many training sessions and trainees are encouraged to attend as many as possible. The monthly legal seminars which take place at lunch time are a good training opportunity and offer the chance to see what other parts of the firm are doing.

    Training sessions also take place for other more general skills such as networking and time management and these are also useful. These are advertised on the intranet and can be attended by all members of the firm.

    Nick Martindale There are always lunchtime seminars being run by the different departments in the firm. This is a good opportunity to catch up on the latest developments in areas of law which you might not have studied. There is also plenty of training available for those who would like to brush up on their IT, management or interpersonal skills.

    Jon Napier There are many training sessions on a wide range of topics - from recent developments in the law in different areas to new business strategies the firm is undertaking. Within each department, there are regular refresher training and outside talks from experts.
