We are able to make requests prior to every seat rotation. If the firm are not able to accommodate your first choice, they make every effort to ensure that it is prioritised the next time around. - Emma-Jane Burnell - Schools
Trainees get the opportunity to request which seat they would like next at each Mid Seat Review. I have been very lucky and have been able to do all the seats that I wanted, including two seats in the Schools Team where I will qualify in September. - Nick Martindale - Commercial
During your mid-seat review you are asked which seats you would like to do next. So far I’ve managed to get the seats I requested but it can’t be guaranteed because the firm has to consider it’s business needs and the requests of other trainees. - Jon Napier
Yes - you are always asked what your preference would be prior to the decision being made and the firm tries its best to accommodate everyone.
