How often are you appraised and do you feel that process assists with your career progression?

  I am appraised once a year and find the sessions very valuable and instrumental in my progression both in terms of developing personally but also in terms of developing the team and various strategies for the firm.
• Doug Locke, Partner - Intellectual Property & Technology
  Once a year. It is good to get ongoing feedback, but the appraisal process provides a useful summary and an opportunity to plan.
• Sue Nokes, Partner - Commercial
  Once a year. It provides a safe forum for addressing issues which neither I nor my colleagues would normally broach and can be a useful means of gaining a bit of self-awareness.
• Jason Prosser, Partner - Construction
  Appraised once a year - the process is useful from both sides and assists with career progression.
• Nathan Guest, Partner - Corporate
  I am now formally appraised annually, although less formal reviews are held during the course of the year. The appraisal is a good opportunity to focus on your achievements, whether you have satisfied objectives and to establish an agreed route map to the next stage of your career.
