  • Claire Taylor, General Office Manager - Offices and Facilities
Claire Taylor I am not a career minded person but am always willing to try new things. I started at Veale Wasbrough (Veale Benson, as it was then) 20 years ago as a secretary and was very happy doing it. My career, as I have it now, has really landed in my lap for me and am now very proud to be the Office Manager of a large Bristol city firm. Veale Wasbrough are very supportive especially during the bad times (we all have them). Veale Wasbrough are very good with training and encourage all staff to train in new subjects.
  • Claire Hanlon - Information officer
The firm pays for my professional association membership. The firm encourages me to take part in training courses to allow me to continually develop my professional skills.
  • Emma Pickess - Marketing executive
I have been at the firm for just over a year and in that time I have climbed a steep learning curve and have been supported every step of the way. The firm provide a wide variety of training courses and I have been positively encouraged to enrol on courses that I felt were of particular benefit to my role and professional development.
  • Simon Mark - Systems developer - IT
I feel that I have always been supported and have been provided with everything I need to progress in my career. After starting as a support engineer 5 years ago, I have progressed to a network administrator up to my current role as a systems developer.
  • Denise Radwell - Secretary - Commercial/Corporate
There is strong commitment from Veale Wasbrough towards career development.
  • Karen Usher - Secretary - Schools
By providing any training I need to carry out my job efficiently. Also by keeping the firm's IT equipment up to date. I personally have not taken advantage of the support offered by Veale Wasbrough to obtain new professional qualifications since joining the firm (eg. studying for legal executive qualifications) as I prefer to remain in a secretarial role, but for anyone who is looking to move on from, say secretarial work to a legal executive role, the firm's attitude to career progression and development are very positive.
