Yes - I have always been given a lot of responsibility, even as a newly qualified lawyer. In fact, I completed a £2m acquisition within 6 weeks of qualification - a deal that I ran under the supervision of an Associate. As an Associate I am now largely responsible for the day to day management of the deals I am working on.
