The Wings Medical Group has been acquired by a management buy-in team, in a deal put together by Ian Wherry and Nick Harber of Robson Taylor Corporate Finance. Funding for the deal was provided by HSBC Bank. The Veale Wasbrough team, led by corporate partner Nathan Guest, advised the exiting shareholders.
The Group has two operating companies, Wings Ambulance and Wings Aeromedical UK. Wings Ambulance is a key regional provider of private ambulance services, including high dependency care transportation, frontline emergency ambulances and rapid response vehicles, and acts mainly for the NHS. Wings Aeromedical UK provides a 24 hour medical repatriation service throughout Europe and acts principally for travel insurance underwriters.
The Group’s former Managing Director, Royden Harrill, will continue to run the day to day operations of the Group.
